Installation

Ikea kitchen on delivery dayInstallation

What happens after design is the lion’s share of the work when it comes to building, whether new or remodeling.

There are probably 5 people you know right now that have had a nightmarish experience getting from the old kitchen to the new one.

Everything from logistics to just plain  inconvenience – including dust & a constant parade of strangers in your home.

That’s where we come in.

We make it as painless as possible.

We deal with missing or damaged parts. We modify components that aren’t off-the-shelf installation ready. We know the shortcuts in the store, the right people to talk to when issues arise, and which parts are more critical than others to keep the project on schedule.

We know the quirks & steps to tame that pile of boxes that comes on delivery day. The average kitchen arrives in about 150 flat packed boxes. Yes – 150, not fifteen.

The biggest pain point of a kitchen remodel (if you’re living in the house) is how to wash the dishes.

Our suggestion is to use the opportunity to learn how to compost! Get easily biodegradable plates & bowls, & throw the whole end of meal place setting onto the compost pile.

Keep eating at home,  cooking healthy & save money & time for when you want to go out, not when you have to.

How long does a typical installation take? 3 weeks

Most of our installations are completed in about 3 weeks.

The only caveat is if we encounter water or insect damage that requires repair. The average kitchen remodel by other companies takes 6 to 12 weeks.

Let’s take 6 weeks – best case scenario: What would you spend on eating out or pizza delivery in 6 weeks? How about the expense of a hotel, should you need to escape the nightmare for a few days? It adds up.

So you can either spend more than you anticipate on restaurants & unplanned mini vacations, or opt for our premium facilitation service.

What’s your time & sanity worth?
