Eco-Modernism, LLC
We’re a Raleigh, NC based residential kitchen design studio.
We also go where you are. So far, we’ve gone to Ontario Canada, Kansas City, Washington DC, Madison Wisconsin, and Arlington VA.
Our innovative kitchen solutions promote a strong responsibility to the planet. We respect the resources and systems of the Earth, and continually strive to minimize our impact on them.
Our humble history.
We cut our teeth on commercial space design back in the mid ’80′s. Then we moved into facilities space management. Then we came back to design on a smaller scale: residential kitchens.
The kind of design we do now is a hybrid of our previous design careers. We always design in this order:
- functionality and durability first,
- aesthetics second, and
- ongoing costs third.
The green aspect was a natural outgrowth of the combined disciplines of space design and ongoing cost reduction.
Our Equal passions: Design That Works Well, & Responsible Living
Design that works well is easy to use & does what you need it to do. It should also look great & be durable without breaking the bank.
Responsible living means minimizing our footprint on our surroundings by eating locally, growing our own, & restoring and celebrating our connections to nature from inside our house.
The kitchen is where all that comes together.
