How to have your time, and your IKEA®, too

checkout line on a saturday at IKEA

Here are some things people tweeted today about shopping at IKEA® on a weekend:

  • Back to IKEA® to get box 2 of 2. Ugh!!!
  • 5pm at IKEA® on a Saturday? I feel for you
  • God why am I in IKEA® again? Have I lost my mind?
  • At IKEA® buying kitchen cabinets & living room storage. This place always completely wears me out.
  • Economy may be tanking but IKEA® just as unpleasantly crowded as ever on a Saturday afternoon.
  • 10 minutes at IKEA®. Thank God. Place is a gong show.
  • Your IKEA® table story has the makings of a Hollywood epic. I see Kirk Douglas in the role of the table.
  • Here I go again. Why do I keep thinking that going to IKEA®is a good idea?
  • lost in IKEA®… literally.
  • IKEA® wore. me. out.
  • IKEA® is a zoo today!
  • Ah, you brave IKEA®-venturing-on-a-weekend soul.

Night and day

Going to IKEA® on a weekday is totally different. You can breathe. You can move around. More people are available to help if you have questions. You check out faster. Right, but most folks work on weekdays. At least, those who still have jobs.

Guaranteed solution to the pain

Among those tweets today was this one:

IKEA® is too far for todays mission.

Far = driving time, gas, wear & tear on the car. Not to mention how much greener it would have been if those 12 people had used our runner service & let a single vehicle go instead. & they could’ve reclaimed their free time, in lieu of being in a car or in line. Is that really how you want to spend your weekend?
